Here is our Northwest Sportsman's Club Instructor Team. This page is a work in progress. More pictures and bios of our volunteers and instructors will be added as they become available. Paul Mosman This is Officer Paul Mosman with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Paul is kind enough to provide time to our classes to explain the role of the DFW Officer and the general rules that apply to hunting in Washington State. Prior to joining the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife in 2003, Paul was employed as a trooper with the Oregon State Police. Paul is a graduate of Washington State University, with a degree in Forestry. He also carries a Washington Hunter Education Card, graduating from a Spokane area class in 1987. Paul is a United States Army veteran, serving in a Light Infantry unit. His current assignment is Northeast Spokane County, with special assignments statewide. Jim Parman - Chief Instructor Most of my working life was spent as a Federal Mediator, sitting between Labor and Management as they negotiated Labor Contracts. After retiring in early 2003, I could finally schedule my own time! As an active hunter, shooter, and reloader, I believe strongly in the principles taught in Hunter Education so I decided to get involved. I began assisting with an instructor team in early 2004, and became a Washington State certified instructor in September of that year. I also do some volunteer instructing in Idaho, and have State certification there as well. My wife Ann and I live on an acreage near Newman Lake where we have both successfully hunted deer, bear, and turkey. Rick Parman I work in the production control department at Goodrich Corporation on the West Plains, where we build brakes for airliners. I began hunting in Missouri at an early age and continued that tradition while living in Nebraska, Colorado, and now Washington. I successfully completed my hunter education class in LaVista, Nebraska in September 1975. I began assisting with Washington Hunter Education in 2007, and was able to devote time to becoming a certified instructor after many years of night school and graduation from Eastern Washington University in December 2008. I became a Certified Instructor in May 2009. I live in the Newman Lake area with my wife Christi, and daughter Jennifer.
